Course Description
The Ship Security Officer course prepares maritime professionals to fulfill the critical role of SSO as mandated by the ISPS Code. This comprehensive program covers all aspects of ship security management, threat assessment, and implementation of security measures on board vessels.
SSOs are responsible for ensuring the ship's security plan is properly implemented and maintained, conducting security inspections and drills, and serving as the primary liaison with Company Security Officers and port facilities on security matters.

Entry Requirements
Prerequisites
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Hold valid STCW certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 12 months sea service (officer preferred)
